16th Dec be an official friendship day in India

A year ago in-front of his eyes his girlfriend was brutally raped by six bastards in a running bus of Delhi.

He fought till the time he was beaten blue with an iron rod. They broke his leg, robbed him, snatched his mobile & left him almost naked..He fought till the time he could. Then on that chilling cold night he was thrown from the running bus along with his girl friend. They were naked, drained, exhausted & both were bleeding for different reasons. He tried to stop passing cars & kept on begging for a piece of shawl to wrap his naked girl friend & finally he got it after 40 minutes.

Then he took her to the hospital, admitted her, called the police, called her parents & did every possible co-operation that a true friend should do in the hour of need.He could have fled from the bus - he did not. He could have left her on the road - he did not. He could have claimed fame & money ( as the father of Nirbhaya who took Rs 25 lakhs from UP CM,a job for his son & many more from many people in his daughter's name ) - but he did not. He could have claimed his treatment money from Govt - he did not. He could have become the most frequently seen face in the electronic media in exchange of money - he did not.

If this is not friendship then what is friendship??

When the entire country roared for the girl no one thought what this boy had gone through that night. He is not a film star or a cricketer. He is Awindra Pratap Pandey a boy from Gorakshapur in UP the boy who loved his girl from the core of his heart.

When this boy is there somewhere in anonymity, why we Indians should celebrate friendship day on 3rd August to copy Americans??
-We should celebrate friendship day in India on 16th December to salute the spirit of Awindra who proved what friendship means.

Let 16th Dec be an official friendship day in India.

Ex-TMC MP Kunal Ghosh threatens suicide, says CBI investigation biased.

 Kunal Ghosh

Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh threatened suicide on Monday claiming that the investigation into the multi-crore Saradha scam is influenced. Ghosh has been named in the CBI chargesheet in the scam.
Claiming that the probe by the CBI was biased, Ghosh said, "Influential people whose names have come up are not being arrested. If they are not arrested within 72 hours I'll commit suicide."
The suspended Rajya Sabha MP had been named by the CBI in its first chargesheet in the multi-crore scam along with Saradha chief Sudipta Sen and close aide Debjani Mukherjee.
Five companies - Saradha Tours & Travels, Saradha Gardens, Saradha Realty, Saradha Constructions and Strategic Media (a company owned by Kunal Ghosh) - were also named in the chargesheet.
The chargesheet that named Ghosh was filed under Sections 120B, 409 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code(IPC) and also under Sections four and six of Prize, Chit and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act 1978.

Australian tabloid labels Sachin Tendulkar 'shameless political animal' for slamming Aussie cricketers, Greg Chappell

The Courier Mail, an Australian tabloid, has launched a scathing and crude attack on batting legend Sachin Tendulkar for criticising Greg Chappell, as well as for taking Harbhajan Singh's side on the 2008 'Monkeygate' controversy.
In a piece which holds back no punches, one Mr Robert Craddock, writing for the tabloid, calls Tendulkar a 'ruthless force of nature'. He goes on to say that 'Tendulkar, as confirmed in his just-released autobiography, is a highly political animal, a dangerous enemy who knew the bottomless power he possessed and used it shamelessly — and secretly — like a master puppeteer when it suited his team’s cause.'
The piece describes Tendulkar's appearance as that of a 'lamb' rather than a 'lion' and goes on to say that 'But when his autobiography was released worldwide on Thursday the choir boy ripped open his robes and pulled a loaded gun from a holster.'
The article then slams Tendulkar for keeping quiet when his 'opponents were in the ring' and labeling his words 'hollow'. It concludes by saying that 'we may never think of him as kindly but at least we got to meet the real man'.
There has been a lot of angst even in the serious Australian press over Tendulkar's remarks. The coverage though has been selective, choosing to focus only on aspects of the autobiography which slam Australian cricketers, as if that is all the autobiography is about. On the other hand, tabloid articles such as the one above are being given a lot of space, as have refutations by the under-fire Greg Chappell. The Sydney Morning Herald has especially gone into overdrive, slamming Tendulkar, choosing to believe Greg Chappell's version of events in an article titled 'Is Sachin Tendulkar rewriting cricket history?

Not a single run scored in an innings; Team all out for 0

Toby Strang
Toby Strang
The crazy game of cricket has witnessed many improbable incidents in the field and this must be the most epic one of all.  A team was all out for nothing on the board!
The incident took place way back in 1913 but came out to the limelight only in 2011, 98 years after the unbelievable was made possible. The Langport club's archivist, Toby Strang, decided that the side of 1913 deserve some sort of recognition for their (under) achievement.
"The scorecard from the day has been in the clubhouse for years and we thought it was about time it was recognised by Wisden [Cricketers' Almanack] or Guinness World Records," he said. Strang is now wondering if there are people who have any knowledge of this infamous team – or pictures of them.
"I started playing for the club in 1965 and there's never been anything like that since then. I think the lowest score was 18 but the conditions that day were appalling for batsmen. How can a team be out for zero? We don't know the weather or conditions that day but it beggars belief the team didn't even score an extra.
“I have press cuttings of the match. It really does not seem possible that a team could be bowled out for nought. And it’s amazing it is not recorded in the Guinness Book of Records or Wisden,” mentioned Strang about the club’s record score.
The 1913 incident that happened in the English summer found a place in Gerald Gosling and Frank Huddy’s 1993 book Somerton, Ilchester and Langport. But it is yet to be recognised by more reputed organisations and publications. A local newspaper cutting from the historic day reports the score "caused quite an amusing sensation" among the spectators.

When Others Used To Sleep and Dream For Their Future. I Start My Journey

Many Indians living in poverty make their livelihood through humble traders. Selling flower on the roadside is one such profession.

The Life Story Of a Flower Vendor.

Lakkhi Murmu, a 30 year old flower vendor from Gede, has been selling flowers over 5 years “I started to come here at the age of ten with my grandmother and eventually from last 5 years I took over the business” she said . Her stall near DumDum Hanuman Mandir is richly adorned with vibrant garlands of jasmine, roses, orchids and morning holy flowers. Her Sweet face with wrinkles with long black hair on her head, wearing old red colour saree she answered few of my question.

1)           When and how do you start your daily journey to come here for selling flowers ?
-         I start my daily journey in wee hours of the morning when others used to sleep and dream for their future. I travel four km to catch first Gede-Sealdah local train and from sealdah I go to howrah wholesale flower market to buy fresh flower for selling here.

2)           How much do you earn from this business ?
-         It varies, sometimes I can make as much as 500 rupees a day, otherwise, I don’t even make enough to buy milk and proper meal for my family.

3)              So are you the only earning member in your house ?
-Yes, 5 years ago my husband had an accident and after that he is unable to walk. So there is no chance of other working member in my house.

4)                 Is there special day or season when your business flourish more ?
-         The business flourishes more on Tuesday and Saturday,  and during temple festivels , “On those days I usally stay until 1p.m but on regular days I usally go home within 11a.m . On these days I make 2,000 rupees because many people come here to give puja in the temple and they order special flower chains which are more costly than other normal flowers.

5)                    What kind of food do you eat daily ?
-         Early morning I used to have puffed rice with some vegetable sabji and a cup of tea before coming here. During the day time I have some solid food from a cheap hotel near DumDum station. At night, me and my husband used to have roti with dal or other vegetable sabjis.

6)                       During childhood age what was your dream ?
-         “Haha you make me laugh” she said. During childhood age every child dream to become a doctor, teacher, or enggnier. But my dream was to marry a guy who will have his own house ,car and to be wealthy. But now look  at my luck , I am selling flower to run my family.

7)                       Is there any future plan ?
-         No,there is no future plan yet. But there is a dream to make my own house and a wholesale flower shop at howrah flower market, which require lots of money and for me this dream is like to touch the sky while standing on the ground.

8)                    How is your life ? Is it like the sweet smell of rose or the throny part in the stick of rose ?
-         Not at all, my life is not like the sweet smell of rose, where as I want my life to be like the sweet smell of rose. And on the other hand my life is not even like the thorny part of the rose, But any how I will make it smell like rose.

9)                    Why don’t you have any child ?
-         I lost my son in an accident , he was my life, his age was 5 years when he died. That accident took my life from me and my husband lost his both legs, became handicapped. But still I feel sujoy is around me and calls me “Khelcho na kno tumi maa” …… “Khide peyeche maa”…..He still cry for me…….. I lost him I lost him.

10)           Are you happy with this profession ?
-         I never thought of doing any kind of work in my life but there is nothing to do. I have to run my family. But in this profession my grandfather was there so any how I had little knowledge about this profession therefore I like it.

“Indian streets are full of such people such as Lakkhi, who take pride in carrying
ahead their ancestral business and to run their family, even they are no longer greatly profitable and turning their work into personal joy”.

Kolkata (4th November) - Kiss of Love protest which was initiated by the activists of Kerala came in like a wave to Kolkata. On the 2nd November many people of Kerala adjoined at the marine drive in protest headlined as KISS OF LOVE to protest against the the vandalized acts of some supporters of the Yuva dal of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) who even beated the couple who were kissing in the parking lot which is not even an offence in IPC . They all kissed, hugged each other to protest against the moral policing of the BJP supporters, where even they where given threat by some association to stop this protest and event. But they went on with their protest in the way of love not against any political parties but against the moral policing. In this event more over 50 people were arrested but the event was a great success

Today many people of Kolkata and even form outside joined in solidarity with the people of Kerala, in the same way they did. They joined today in front of the jadavpur university police station at around
